PRIVACY POLICY

In this Privacy Policy, any use of the word "You", "Your" or similar expressions means any visitor to www.tofu.lv (here and after referred to as the Website). Terms such as "we", "our" or similar expressions mean SIA OG TOFU.

Last updated: 25 September 2026.

SIA OG TOFU (registration No 40203282338, Tēraudlietuves iela 22, Rīga, LV-1026, Latvia) is the controller of the personal data described below.

Newsletter and “Notify me” forms

If you subscribe to our newsletter or ask us to let you know when online orders open, we store your email address, the page where you subscribed, the date and time of your consent and the IP address from which it was given (as proof of consent). We use this data only to send you news about OG TOFU and, if you asked for it, a message when online orders open. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@tofu.lv, and we will stop sending you emails. We keep the data until you unsubscribe; after that we keep only a note that you unsubscribed, so that we do not email you again.

Partner and contact form

If you contact us through the form on the Website, we store your name, email address, phone number (if given), your message, the page it was sent from and the IP address, and forward the message to our email. We use this data to answer you and to discuss possible cooperation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to your enquiry and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). We keep the messages as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting cooperation.

Orders

When you order from us by phone or email, we use your name, contact details, delivery address or chosen parcel locker and payment information to confirm, deliver and invoice your order and to handle any complaints. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legal obligations, including accounting requirements (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)). We pass the necessary delivery details to the courier or parcel locker service that delivers your order. Invoices and related records are kept for the period required by accounting law.

Website statistics

We count visits to the Website with our own statistics, without cookies or similar technologies, and we do not store IP addresses for this purpose. To count how many different visitors we have each day, your IP address and browser type are combined with a random value that changes every day and turned into a one-way code. This code and the random value are deleted every night, so visitors cannot be identified or recognised on another day. We keep only daily totals: pages viewed, the website or campaign visitors came from, and the type of device (phone, tablet or computer). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the Website is used and improving it (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). If you do not want your visits to be counted, open tofu.lv/?og-ignore=1 once in your browser; this saves a single setting in your browser, which you can remove by opening tofu.lv/?og-ignore=0.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. The Website does not use cookies for statistics, advertising or tracking. The only exception is the map on the Contact page: it is loaded from Google Maps only after you click “Show map”, and Google may then set its own cookies in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. Until you click “Show map”, no data is sent to Google. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the Website works fully without them.

Where the data is stored and who receives it

The data is stored on our web server in the European Union. We do not sell your data and do not pass it on to third parties, except to the service providers who host the Website and our email, the delivery services that deliver your order, or where the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, its correction or deletion, to restrict or object to its processing and to receive your data in a portable format. To use these rights, write to info@tofu.lv.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time by posting them on the Website. Any version of the Privacy Policy posted on the Website supersedes all previous versions of the Privacy Policy and is effective immediately upon posting.
