TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Effective from 25 September 2026.

1. Seller and scope

SIA OG TOFU, registration No 40203282338, VAT No LV40203282338, Food and Veterinary Service registration No 085287, address: Tēraudlietuves iela 22, Rīga, LV-1026, Latvia, phone +371 29436686, email info@tofu.lv, orders and complaints – order@tofu.lv (“OG TOFU”, “we”).

These terms apply to the use of the website tofu.lv (the “Website”) and to the purchase of OG TOFU products when a consumer orders them at a distance – by phone, by email or, once available, on the Website. Such a contract is a distance contract governed by the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law and Cabinet Regulation No 255 “Regulations on Distance Contracts”. Deliveries to businesses (restaurants, cafés, shops) are made under separate agreements or through the distributor Bidfood.

2. Product

OG TOFU is fresh, unpasteurised firm tofu made from Latvian-grown soybeans. Ingredients: water, soybeans, firming agent – calcium sulphate. Contains soy (allergen). Shelf life: 10 days from the day of production; store at +2…+6 °C. Nutrition information and storage advice are given on the product page and on the pack.

We make tofu in small batches, not every day, so for each order we confirm a specific production and delivery day.

3. Ordering and conclusion of the contract

You can order by phone +371 29436686 or by email order@tofu.lv. The minimum order is 1 kg.

After receiving your order, we confirm the products, the total price including delivery, the delivery method and day, and send you an invoice. The contract is concluded once we have confirmed the order and sent the invoice.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in euros (EUR) and include VAT. The delivery charge is confirmed together with the order and shown separately on the invoice. Orders are paid by bank transfer within the term stated on the invoice.

5. Delivery

In Riga we deliver by courier to your address; anywhere in Latvia we deliver to a parcel locker (mainly Omniva; by agreement also DPD or Latvijas Pasts lockers). The delivery day is confirmed for each order according to the next production batch.

Tofu must be kept chilled. A parcel delivered to a parcel locker must be collected on the same day you receive the delivery notification, and the tofu must be refrigerated straight away. If the parcel is collected later, we cannot guarantee the quality of the product and are not responsible for any deterioration caused by late collection.

If delivery is delayed because of us or the delivery provider, we will let you know and agree on a solution.

6. Right of withdrawal

Fresh tofu is a product that can deteriorate rapidly and has a short shelf life. Therefore, under paragraph 22 of Cabinet Regulation No 255 “Regulations on Distance Contracts”, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases of OG TOFU. This does not limit your rights if the product is damaged or does not conform to the contract (section 7).

7. Damaged or non-conforming products

If the tofu you receive is spoiled – for example, sour or with a distinctly unpleasant smell – or does not match your order, contact us by phone +371 29436686 or by email order@tofu.lv as soon as you notice it and include a photo of the product and the pack.

If the parcel was collected on time and the tofu was stored as instructed, we will send you new tofu free of charge. If you do not want new tofu, we will refund the amount paid for the damaged product. This does not limit your statutory rights in respect of goods that do not conform to the contract.

8. Personal data

To fulfil your order, we process your name, contact details, delivery address or parcel locker and payment information. See the Privacy Policy for details.

9. Use of the Website

The content of the Website – texts, photographs, the logo and the OG TOFU trademark – belongs to OG TOFU or is used with the permission of the rights holders. It may not be copied or used for commercial purposes without our written permission. We aim to keep the information on the Website accurate and up to date; if you notice an error, please let us know. We are not responsible for the content of other websites linked from the Website.

10. Complaints and disputes

Please send complaints to order@tofu.lv – we will reply as soon as possible and no later than within 15 days. If a dispute cannot be resolved by negotiation, you may turn to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre of Latvia (www.ptac.gov.lv), including its Consumer Dispute Resolution Committee, or to a court of the Republic of Latvia. The contract is governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

11. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms by publishing a new version on the Website. An order is governed by the terms in force when the order was confirmed.
